Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge 4 Remastered is coming to PlayStation 5. Tru Blu Entertainment has confirmed the remaster for PS5 and Xbox Series in native 4K at 60 frames per second. Discount Shack is taking pre-orders on the physical PS5 disc now at $59.95, dispatching from 28 August 2026.
The short version
The remaster already exists. It landed on PC through Steam on 25 June 2026 as a free update, and it is a real visual overhaul rather than a resolution bump — new player models, rebuilt stadium environments, improved lighting, mud and sweat effects, hair physics and a refreshed broadcast presentation.

What "Remastered" actually changes
Tru Blu published the full list when the PC version went live. The headline items:
- Dynamic 4K and 60 FPS. On PS5 the publisher describes this as native 4K at 60fps.
- Rebuilt player models and presentation. Improved models, dynamic mud and sweat, realistic hair physics, upgraded animations, and a refreshed broadcast-style presentation layer.
- Updated stadiums and environments. Richer crowd atmosphere, enhanced grass, field damage and wear that builds across a match.
- Deeper player creation. Expanded customisation with advanced hairstyles, eye colour controls, tattoos and finer appearance editing.
What it does not change is how the game plays. The publisher's own line on the console announcement is "everything you remember about how it played" — the handling, the set plays and the career structure are the same game underneath.
PS5 versus the PS4 and Switch versions you can buy today
There are three ways to own this game once the remaster lands, and they are not the same product.
